Within the Vaults of Caladrex, Garvey Dire, Ntashia Dire, and Thenylis--the High Priestess of the Omnipotent Vackri--encounter the malign intelligence known as Sved. An illustration by Noel Tuazon from Into the Dire Planet.
In the Dire Planet books the Vaults of Caladrex are in a lost city buried by a Martian cataclysm that is very difficult to find and even more dangerous to traverse--as the destroyed city is still protected by a malign ancient artificial intelligence, and the ruins are inhabited by wild, tentacled vackri, beasts once worshiped by the city's inhabitants, that like to devour intruders.
On Earth one must traverse a vast and desolate digital wasteland full of deadly viruses and moral pitfalls to reach the Vaults of Caladrex. The Vaults of Caladrex on Mars are filled with treasures of ancient technology and weaponry that might allow Ntashia and Garvey Dire a fighting chance against the incursions of the cannibilistic Galbran and the marauding hordes of bloodthirsty exiles that roam the wastes.
The Vaults of Caladrex that are hidden within the barren digital wasteland known as the internet are slowly filling with random thoughts and tidbits about my various writings and maybe even an occasional musing on life itself. With these you can arm yourself against the naysayers and villains that daily assail your fortress of solitude--or at least divert yourself for a few moments from their rampant negativity.
Note: If you haven't yet read the Dire Planet books be sure to check them out in the proper order--Dire Planet, Exiles of the Dire Planet, and Into the Dire Planet
